To be honest, at first Fiona turning bad interested me as I haven't seen many good characters turn evil like that. Also at the same time, I liked the TailsXFiona thing, so I hoped that sometime later that Fiona would turn good again, and become some more of a bad-ass freedom fighter, even if she didn't work with Sonic and the others.
Now that she's been phased out of the comics, this message here is now pointless anyway.

I guess you still can. I only have issues from 142 to 206. I've stopped collecting them myself.
I know if I was in Ian's place and wanted more female villains in the comic, I'd create some from scratch. That's why Fiona was only a villain in just one feature length story of my fan fiction series, regarding what happened in the comics.

I think it was an attempt to give her more personality. Prior to her betrayal, she hardly had any unique quirks or distinctive characteristics to call her own.

But still, they could still have a female hero with a sexy tough girl personality, but still caring towards her friends. Some of my original female characters are like that.

I think Sally, Bunnie, Julie-Su, and Rouge already had that role filled in. It be kinda repetitive just have another character be the same archetype when they themselves could be a bit more unique as a character.
Least, that's how I feel about it.

To be honest, I have a small interest in the bad Fiona. I'm now just waiting for her to turn good again. I just hope she doesn't stay bad by the end of the series.

Well, I made two comics where she kind of makes an appearance. Pretty much make her the main villian in the comics I make. In the second one, you only see her foot which kind of gives a clue of who my OC sonic character is working for.

I haven't read the comics but i've done research so don't hate me on this one but... was Fiona EVER good except before she was kidnapped by Robotnik as a child?

I know after she was Robotnik's prisoner, she joined Nic, Bean and Bark, and was sort of a criminal/treasure hunter. Then she joined the freedom fighters. And I think she forgave Sonic for leaving her behind, after the Xorda problem.
To be honest, my knowledge on the Archie storyline is a bit mild, as I don't have all the comics.
But I do know is that when Ian Flynn took over as writer, he made Fiona a villain again, based on her past history. He did it because there were hardly that many female villains, which I can understand. But if I was in his place, I'd probably would have just created a new villain from scratch, rather than turn a reformed criminal back into a villain, unless I had reasons.

You may be right, but I won't give up hope so easily on them. At least I still have fan art and fanfiction to help escape the sadness of those two events in the comics.
And even if it is Sally roboticized, I'm starting to like the Mecha Sally.

Honestly i love Fiona as a character and idk which i prefer but i with i really love the idea for Tails to get paired up with her but its just how she plays people like instruments that i hate about her.

I agree with you there. And the part about her playing with others like instruments, kinda bothers me as well. I mean if she's playing Scourge like an instrument as well, that might make her even worse as a villain. Like she's only using him for muscle or something.

When i first read the comics, Fiona intregued me. She was a character I felt sorry for because of her past. When she joined the freedom fighters at first, i thought she could have her happy end. And I thought Tails could finally have a chance to be happy too.
But then it came: her betrayal. I was shocked, but it turned Fiona from a downplayed character in a more interesting character. Why? Because I knew she was walking that border, that thin line...she could regret her actions and rejoin the freedom fighters, or she could stick with scourge. I couldn't decide at first which future I'd like best.
However, the Tails/Fiona pairing has immensly grown on me due to various artists who have written some great stories and made great art around it, like you, , and more, which got me really hooked on the pairing. I really made me want to have Fiona redeem herself and come back to the good guys.
However, even if archie comics probably never will make that happen, I'm still behind the pairing, and you are one of the persons who made me love the pairing, so i fully agree with you on this one, i want the old fiona back!
Heck, because of you I've started to include the pairing in my own fanfic 'crisis in the infinite zones', in the most recent chapters to be exact. So, let us Taiona fans unite for a better future for these two foxes! Tails needs someone to love, damn it!

The only good guy i personally know of who dresses like that is Corinne (My Character), even if there are more black-leathered good-guys around, but i assume Corinne would probably be in a vast minority.
I've also noticed that when people design characters, many people seem to follow the whole 'Cute = Good, Sexy = Evil' plan - where the make the cute and adorable characters the good guys and the more 'attractive' characters the bad guys.
So i bet a lot of people think i'm weird for making my character sexy, wearing black leather and one of the good guys

You have a point there. When I imagined one of my Sonic fanfic ideas back in the 90s, I pictured Sally Acorn (from Fleetway's Sonic The Comic) being temporary hypnotised by one of Robotnik's creations, and when she was under hypnosis, she did sound more sexier.

Although at first, seeing someone good turn evil interested me. But then I started to dislike it. And fearing that Fiona may stay evil, or go further down the dark path is what worries me the most.
I really hope Fiona turns good again one day.
