Description
To match the Main Battle Tank I scratch built some time ago I came up with this Infantry Fighting Vehicle. As with the MBT the basic core of this model requires only 1 roughly A4 sized sheet of 1mm thick plasticard.
The picture shows the full process of design and construction. First I sketched out what I wanted and then built a simple cardboard prototype so I could see how it looked in three dimensions as well as matching the size to the MBT. Then I built the basic core out of plasticard before moving on to adding details such as weapons and hatches. The model was then painted.
The bottom image shows the completed model beside an MBT and a squad of troopers.
I plan to add instructions and templates (for the basic core) to my website.
