Description  At first glance what appears to be a large shark or whale is in fact the world's largest seabird. The Protopenguodon or "Split-faced Whipfin" as it is called, is a prehistoric ancestor of the penguin that spends the majority of it's life completely submerged in  hidden glacial lakes. It had remained totally unknown to biologists until recent climate shifts melted pathways into these hidden arctic ecosystems. Giving researchers access to these unexplored waters for humanity's first encounter with these mythic creatures.
