Squee! I've seriously spent forever on this contest entry for :devdarkwingdomain:'s Sporting Contest . The theme was to draw Bushroot playing a sport of any kind, and I thought soccer (a recurring theme in DWD
) was a fun one to try. I was running out of time on this entry, hence why the colours and the background are shit-tastic. Anyway, Bushroot here is playing an intense game of soccer for Team F5! I probably should have drawn other characters in there, but bleh, I ran out of time. And pretend Bushy's really far up the field, so the net doesn't look ridiculously small Hee hee. Yeah. So. Wish me luck. And my best wishes go out to all the other contestants!

Still, I like the dynamic sporty look on Bushy, his clothes are both folded and coloured amazingly, his shoes especially shining here!

Great pic. Definitely some great artwork, though it DOES make me curious as to why the Fearsome Five would form a soccer team. Even if the grand prize for a soccer tournament was something that's important to one of Negaduck's schemes, this type of subtlety wouldn't be his style. He and the rest of the Fearsome Five would just steal the prize outright. Still, that point aside, this IS an awesome picture and I thank you very much for sharing it.

Good luck, and now I have a question is India Ink a type of inking pen or, is it ink you use with a nib and pen?

You can get india ink in pens, such as Faber-Castell and Microns. I however prefer nibs & ink. except with this pic. Because I was slow to get it done

That's one frickin' awesome Reginald Bushroot! And with his abilities to manipulate plant life, I wouldn't want to be his competition on the field.

That's probably the first Bushroot art I've located (not that I search much) where he's got an assertive, not-pwned look on his face. Great coloring, highlights, and detail.
