Ephesians 6:10-17... 10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armour of God,so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.13 Therefore put on the full armour of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
A drawing my sister requested, this is to emphasize and to state that the Lord is our strength and safety.

I LOVE SKILLET TO THE CORE.

I actually found out a kinda bad thing about them tho... o-O They say 'bastard' in their song Cross to Bear...

Indeed they are... but if they weren't they wouldn't be unique..... If you look at all the hard core metal Christian bands... they have to be edgy to make it... Because compared to "mainstream" metal, they don't have that much exposure... But that's what also makes them epic when they are successful
I think its a bold move when they use the word 'bastard'.... it shows that they are calling out all those who think they are sinless and "perfect"... just my point of view

I just believe that Christian music should have some kind of Christian meaning.
It doesn't ALL have to be hymns or some slow sad song...
I mean I LOVE Christian hard rock and metal(core)
I don't even care what the bands look like, just as long as they have a good positive message from Christ.
I mean look at Skillet.
Everyone of them has a tattoo, they pretty much ALL wear black at their shows, John has a nose-piercing, etc.
Yet I went to one of their shows back in March and in between songs he was talking and he said "I believe in the one and only Lord and his name is JESUS CHRIST!"

I agree 100%... and looking at Skillet... they are one of the most known Christian bands... and where ever they go they uplift the Lords name 100%... They don't care if people like them or not... they are doing what they love for the one who loved them first !!!
But you do get those people who judge how the bands look before even trying to understand what their music about... hehehe the funniest thing is when you play them a song of a band they claim to not like because their look.... and they are like wow like the band and song hahahaha

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE DISCIPLE... I love their songs Game On, O God Save Us All, Outlaws, R.I.P., and Radical
I especially love the part of Radical when they're like 'Not just my mouth, but let my hands speak the glory of God' and then they go back into the song with 'TIL THE DAY I DIE!'
Even Game on is some modest screaming and yet the song is about spiritual warfare
ALSO: Weird thing I found out that some of the lyrics of 'From Zion' by For Today are 'O COME EMMANUEL!' in the background.
And For Today did a cover of the classic hymn 'O Come O Come Emmanuel'

And then you get Thousand Foot Krutch,.... Their song "The end is where we begin" must be one of their most epic songs.... pure to the words... they go to every aspect of the most common everyday sins and just say that at the end when you finally give up your sins you begin an awesome life!!!!!
