Hell! I was thinking for 5 minutes who Eeyore is. His name sounds like [I:-a:]' in Russian and it made me feel confused a bit 'cause I haven't expected 'r' in his name. And yep, Roo is also cool!

I know what you mean...in German we just call Eeyore 'I-Aah' which makes more sense to me

I-Aah! That's the exact spelling that I expected!!! That'll be very natural. Anyway, when I started studying English I found many onomatopoeias very weird - so i think "Eeyoru" is something of this kind.
