A Custom commissioned as a Christmas gift! I made a new pattern for more rounded ears, tried to make them look as Fennec Fox-like as I could. <3 Took a while and a bunch of tweaking and handstitching to get them to stay up properly but they're done! Woo!Also, I love the green and white fleece on this, it's more Lambskin and so soft and aisufshdiufh. <3

It's a mix of things! The easiest way supposedly is to use wire, But I don't like to use that so I have to mess with it a lot. Pulling it back at the base a bit helps, But the major thing is to make sure the ears are solid enough to stay up. I use three layers of fleece, the middle is a thick really pilled fleece I got from the Thrift store, and since it's in the center and not seen it makes for good volume inside ears and such. :]Besides that, they're sewn a bit underneath and.. Pretty much, Sew the ears into the seam, and after that just mess with them until they get to how you want them. Just takes practice.

The hat base is pretty simple, if you look up "Fleece Hat Tutorial" You'll find one by Clearkid that gives you a nice starting pattern, and from there on it's all tweaking and creativity to find out what sort of things you can do! :] And all the fleece I use is Arctic, Lambskin, or this really fluffy fleece I have from the "Pajama Collection" At Fabricland. All Anti-pill. :]

It's actually a custom of their Boyfriend's OC, but the ears look very similar to Umbreon! I'm planning on doing an umbreon hat in the future though, actually! Probably have the ears thinner and more pointed. 8D

Thanks! Lots of hard work, and hours of hand stitching in just the right places with much trial and error to make sure they don't sag. xD They're sewn into the Seam, Then just stitched in the right places to give them the right support to stay up. :]
