I completely agree. In her "60mnts" interview I think she said something like she wasn't origionally going to kill him, but she wanted a parallel to the Potter's sacrifice, the hell! Kill off one of the few completely likeable characters (well, not so much in #7) to say you have cyclic organisation. They're beatiful books, but they aren't really high art.

Yes...She's taken Sirius from us, she's taken ****DONT READ FOLLOWING IF YOU HAVE NOT FINISHED THE 6TH BOOK**** Dumbledore, which I honestly didn't care about, But she will NOT take another cool character, Sirius's death was bad enough, but if Remus goes, Rowling WILL die! Take the trio, for gods sake, not many care, but she can leave Lupin well enough alone.
