something i just wanted to try....i think it's ok for the very first try...still there are hundreds of things i have to do better
starting with getting a clean cut on the apple
anyway, thoughts and tips (& tricks) appreciated

that's pretty easy - simply cut the apple, use some tothpicks, and then do the rest in photoshop...

ahhh i was thinking this was like a no-manipulation kind of thing, like maybe somehow used some strings or...idk haha I'll have to try something like that

i didn't use strings, but toothpicks - i simply cut the apple, and connected the parts with toothpicks.
removing the toothpicks was done in photoshop...

wegen der schnitte: ich wuerde die auf jeden fall so lassen... ich denke so kommt die struktur des apfels besser zum vorschein als bei klinisch korrekten schnitten

Apfel auf Ceranfeld gestellt und indirekt geblitzt. da der Hintergrund nicht wirklich gut war (Küche halt) einfach eingefärbt und das wars

Gute Idee und Umsetzung, da würden mir noch einige Sachen einfallen, wobei ich jetzt auf die Schnelle nicht weiß, wie du diesen Schwebe-Effekt letztlich hingekriegt hast, wenn es nicht manipuliert ist, hm.

I know it's not ... render.. the way it came out .. the elements.. concepts.
A render doesn't always have to be a photomanipulated picture.
It's how a picture turns out too
