This is a brilliant idea and you've executed it perfectly! I feel like the perspective of the cliff and the horseman are a little off though, but apart from that it's really great.

No offense, but the guy on the hill is obviously photoshopped- the hill is blurred due to the focus of the original picture, but he isn't and he doesn't cast a shadow, so as it is, it looks like a magazine cutout.
I have simular issues with the harsh lighting of some of the village area compared to everything else.
On first impression, though, it still looked pretty awesome.
