One of my comics that I've had waiting to be finished for a while.
There's a very faint Christmas-y feel to the ending so this seems as good a time to upload it as any.
The line art is a little old and the idea is a little odd, but I hope you'll like it. ^^

Oh no! Now you're going to make me have to think up an answer....
How about this: The machine makes dolls which have a metal frame with a voice box in the head. The electric thing applies a charge to the dolls battery before it's covered in stuffing etc.
However she isn't a doll so when the electricity zaps her something in the pulse or frequency fries her brain so she thinks she's a doll.... or something like that.
And yes I know electricity doesn't work like that. And that in the Victorian / Edwardian era I've shown they probably wouldn't have electric powered voice box doll things.
