It's great. I wouldn't even think that it's a digital painting. It's very realistic. How much time, and which prog?

Just Photoshop. I did most of it on CS2 back on my old computer which had a much darker screen so the lighting isn't quite right now I can see it in the proper brightness but it'll do.
It's not quite a digital painting, may have put this into the wrong section thinking about it. The planets were created separately from textures and put in before touching up to fit in and the nebula was painted so I suppose it's a mix
