Thank you, the purple ring is an identification marker, it has a number on it allowing them to know where this bird is from and been seen

They are native to South Africa and this one was in a collection of exotic birds

Starlings are one of my favorite types of birds! This one is beautiful! Have you seen a golden-breasted starling before? That one is my favorite.
