Description
A sorceress and her buddy, which is a errrr hairy dragony type of thing .ΒI updated to the 2015 corel painter before I made this and learned many things new and old in the process like how to use the papers to create textures and patterns plus I had a little fun with the new particle brushes. Also worth noting is that I have been able to stream line my process by starting the sketch on paper and scanning it in, I find it flows much better for me that way. The only reference I used here was a picture of Shakira but I made sure I strayed as far away from it as possible.Β
Update: the corners of her mouth didn't look right to me so I fixed it.

I imagine that creature being portrayed by puppetry on screen for a nice fuzzy realism, talking in a slightly slow deep voice, and saying its own name a lot. You didn't describe a name so going with "Bubba"
for example
-Bubba want a fish,
-Bubba likes being petted
-Bubba sees something funny in that bush there mistress.

You mean like something out of the dark crystal or never ending story? I swear good puppetry or robotics is far better than Computer Graphics. I like the name Bubba it suits errr 'It' lol.

Yep, the Luck Dragon's voice in fact I what I was thinking of. Have to love good puppetry an animatronics; it just felt more real than most of the CGI stuff out there these days.

I like it, very beautiful. While it certainly has a room for improvement, I enjoy the atmosphere you've created here and the way you utilized shadowing.Β
