Just finished the latest rebuild of a USB key .... it's bone and hardwood and carved all over. Designs are Art Nouveau inspired. The top side is vines flowers and leaves. The other side is a lily and you can see it at [link]I may get around to making a matching cap but at the moment my hands are not up to another days carving.
I need to work on a better background for the photo ... my hands help give perspective on the size though and this is about the finest detail I've tried to get into bone and wood.

I've always liked the idea of hand-crafted cases for technology items, including exotic materials and techniques (etching and whatnot). On the other hand, have you considered creating a mold to mass produce the case, say in metal?

I'd like to 'improve' the case design some more, now not entirely happy with the overall shape as a blocky rectangle is not quite what I want, so now I'll start a new one that is more organic in overall shape with similar relief work on it. Also thinking of adding a little colour detail with inlay of Paua shell (that's abalone, I think, for the non Kiwi folks out there).
Also I'm not in a position to seriously work on anything more right now in terms of setting up molds etc... as I'm emigrating in a few months and a significant amount of my tools are already packed up for shipping.
