Beautiful piece of art from every aspect. I love the angle, the location, the model, the costume, and the sword. Very cool!! Did you make the costume or have it specially made for you?

I made everything in this shot short of the sword and the girl of course. Considering I'm not all that great on the sewing machine I think it turned out fairly well. I want to revisit this idea one of these days and try to do a better job on the costume and makeup.

Now if only you could create the sword and the girl, lol.
I thought the costume came out great. Sewing machine experience be damned! I'd assume that if her character had made the costume herself it wouldn't be entirely perfect either. Especially since I don't think they have sewing machines.
Awesome work man. I loved the photo and can't wait to see what you create next.

Thanks, I'm glad you thought it turned out. Maybe it's just me being overly critical of my own work or perhaps it's because I know where the flaws are and they pop out at me like neon lights.

Artists are always their own worst critics. Even before getting to a class critique back in college I already saw most things that the class mentioned and then a bunch they didn't. I usually am very displeased everything I create, but know the piece is usually not as bad as I think. That's probably why I opted to go back to college and get a master's degree. Just don't point out any of the neon lights and I'm sure nobody will notice. I sure didn't.
