With this model's skin tone and the extremely small bikini that she was wearing for the shoot, I think you would have been better off doing the shoot in either the early morning or very late evening, closer to dusk, which I think would do a better contrast. Also if you maybe had a swimming in the shot, or coming up out of the water it may help with the appearance of she's into it for more than just the money for the shoot; she seems to be very disinterested which is a major put off for the scene. Hope this helps.

This actually was taken at about 8am. The water in this area averages around 55F year round so swimming wouldn't exactly benefit anyone besides the fact that the point of the shoot was to emphasize the swimwear and not the model. I understand what you are saying regarding the setup of the shot and I would agree with you if I had been attempting to tell a story with the shot however considering that it's an attempt at showing someone who is confident wearing the companies product it doesn't exactly fit.

LOL this reminds me of a email i received from an american friend. there were several pictures of 4 girls wearing huge sunglasses and these tiny bikinis that barely covered their nipples let alone their groin. the headline: "The peak of humanity: when a pair of sunglasses cover more then a bikini"

HA...Reminds me of a post card I've seen..proof of global warming. It's a photo of woman's underwear hanging on a clothes line from the 1900's big bloomers to the present day tiny thong panties.

hahahah yeh i remember that one. its quite intrigueing really how much the fashion has changed, going from wearing nothing, to little clothes and then moreso, to having modesty and needing complete outfits to lessening the outfits and coming back down to nudists and little clothes at all.
