The lovely Yoritomo Hotako, also fearfully addressed as the Obsidian Champion, in a more serene moment. Or creepy, take your pick. I'm not sure what I'd do if I walked in on a hot, eyeless woman enamored with a helldemon mantis thing. I would probably exit as quietly as possible, and drink until that unsettling image was scoured from my mind.That's right people. She's here to stay. (So long as I have anything to do with it...)

Nice job on the textures of her skin and your color choices. I do find that the shadows for the mantis on her hand could have been more solid, its hard to tell its there, compared to the shadows done on her face. Great piece overall.

Yes, the mantis didn't quite do what I'd wanted.
I was going for a "layered" viewing, where at first you see her, and then you look over to see what tender thing she's doing with her hands, and it sort of surprises you when you see it's a super creepy bug. Kinda like when you're just sitting against a tree or what, and you notice there's a big spider that's been hanging out next to you the whole time.
