This would be a great way to introduce us Americans to Doctor Who. Β Here is the cumulative information I know about that show.
1. The titular character is a shape shifting alien with at least eleven different forms.
2. Every time he dies, he can regenerate into an entirely new body.
3. He has companions that are usually (if not always) female.
4. The Doctor has a time machine called the TARDIS that looks like a British phone booth.
5. The TARDIS could once disguise itself as anything, but that part of it is broken.
6. The main antagonists are robots called Daleks that look like crosses between pepper pots, R2 units from Star Wars, and who knows what else.
7. Daleks open doors with toilet plungers since they don't have hands.
8. Doctor Who has really bad special effects.
9. There are also certain missing episodes which were likely erased to save stock.
10. Doctor Who went on hiatus from 1989 to 2005 since it ran into bad times in the 80's.
11. It was originally meant to only go two seasons.
12. There was a pinball machine of Doctor Who made in the 1992 which recently became available for downloading in The Pinball Arcade through a successful Kickstarter campaign.Β www.pinballarcade.com/TablePacβ¦
13. The little known but bizarre cartoon Fonzie and the Happy Days Gang exists because Hanna Barbara tried and failed to make an animated version of Doctor Who. Β Considering where Hanna Barbara was at the time, it was probably good they didn't get those rights.Β www.youtube.com/playlist?list=β¦
14. The Eleventh Doctor wears suspenders.
15. I learned that last fact when I dressed as Wirt from Over the Garden Wall (who also wears suspenders) and saw someone dressed as the Eleventh Doctor at a Halloween party.

I'm liking this crossover idea.
It is funny how the Doctor claims to not be an adult. Β I know he can't claim to be a responsible adult but you would think a millennia old alien would qualify as an adult.

The Tardis materialized next to the mystery shack. The doors creaked open and the Pine twins ran out happily. They didn't know how long they'd really been gone. They didn't care. Grunkle Stan walked out with his usual scowl on his face. The Doctor leaned against the Tardis smiling.
Later, The Doctor stands and looks around the mystery Shack smiling.Β
Doctor: I could get used to a place like this.
?: Perhaps you will.
Behind the Doctor, is a familiar figure with a long scarf, fedora and curly hair. Sometime later the two Doctors are walking to the top of a hill overlooking the town casually talking.
The Curator: Did you have to take stan's fez? the poor old boy is so committed to that old organization.
The Doctor: I wear a fez. fezzes are cool.
The Curator:Indeed, that's the hole reason we started that whole dress code anyway.
The Doctor: Well, not everyone is blessed with my natural fashion sense.
The Curator paused and looked out across the town.
The Curator: Do you know the name of this town?
The Doctor:Which one? It has two names: Gravity Falls and No more.
The Curator: Oh well that's where people get it wrong. It only has one name:
Gravity Falls No More.

In the mystery shack, Mabel was coloring on the floor while Dipper was reading, suddenly everything in the room, including the twins, started to float upwards.
