My fan made thumbnail for the next Death Battle, Mewtwo vs. Shadow the Hedgehog. It was announced after Joker vs. Sweet Tooth, with the former character being revealed first. I have to say, at first, I was a bit surprised that this was the fight Mewtwo was going to be apart of. A lot of people, including the show's research team, thought Mewtwo would fight Silver the Hedgehog. This was based on the fact that the two are telekinetic characters. However, as Ben pointed out on Twitter, that's the only similarity the characters share nothing else. Mewtwo shares more similarities with Shadow, and their back stories are very similar. Both were created by a scientist in order to save a younger relative, but things go wrong and the two go insane and go on a rampage. However, the two are later informed that there is value in the lives of humans and the two decide to become good. Well, Mewtwo more than Shadow, who could still be considered an anti-hero. Speaking of which, Shadow fought Dragon Ball's Vegeta in season 1, and lost to him. It was hinted that a season 1 character would return, and looks like Shadow is that character, who will be again voiced by Takahata101, who voiced him when he fought Vegeta. By the way, speaking of Dragon Ball, I'm glad Mewtwo isn't fight Frieza. They share no similarities beyond the fact that the two look alike. The reason this one is a bit later than the others is because this one is actually the one that we'll be seeing at SGC, or at least, if you're not a sponsor for Screwattack. This is a bit shocking since most of the fights they premiere at SGC are 3D ones, but then I also remembered that another 2D fight was premiered there, Shao Khan vs. M. Bison, which was the 2nd episode of season 2. So, this gets the honor of being the 2nd 2D fight premiered at SGC. As for the winner, I've seen most favor Mewtwo, but I've seen decent arguments for Shadow, mostly with the Chaos Emeralds. So, I do think this could go either way, but if Chaos Control is involved, Shadow might have a chance to win. If your a sponsor, you'll see who wins tomorrow. As for the rest of us, we'll see who wins on Friday.
