I think it's finally okay to show this. Here's a part of a storyboard I did for Nickelodeon's The Mighty B! The episode is called One Million Years Bee C.Related content

Actually, I heard it got very good ratings! I can't help but think it most probably got canceled for the same reason that SYM-BIONIC TITAN did; inside politics. That and Nickelodeon drowning it out with smokescreens of non-stop SPONGEBOB SQUAREPANTS and iCARLY marathons, just when it started Season 2. And Nick is already notorious for their knack for cancelling their best shows (INVADER ZIM, MY LIFE AS A TEENAGE ROBOT, etc.) during the past decade. I was so enraged by THE MIGHTY B!'s cancellation that I vowed never to watch Nickelodeon again. (Ironically, I don't have cable TV anymore, due to lack of a satellite signal in my new apartment; so on my HDTV, I watch my stuff on Netflix via my PS3 - the complete MIGHTY B! series is among the stuff I'm watching on it now!)
But otherwise, I agree. There are people who pan it, simply by comparing it to SPONGEBOB, and it's not only disheartening, but really annoying. SPONGEBOB is not the Center of the Universe. (For me, that honor goes to REN & STIMPY. But sadly, too many people of this current generation don't even know of REN & STIMPY, although the success of John Kricfalusi's recent SIMPSONS opening may change that somewhat.)
Bessie Higgenbottom has become my all-time favorite female cartoon character, bar-none. In a way, I also considered Bessie to be the spiritual successor to Pippi Longstocking (one of my favorite characters)! Even as a nerdy character, she's wild, crazy, extremely silly, not afraid to be freaky or gross in a Spumco way (she burps, farts, picks her nose, etc.), and at the same time, adorable. What other leading female cartoon character has that quality? No one came close. And with that, THE MIGHTY B! has become one of my all-time favorite cartoon shows, and easily the best Nicktoon since REN & STIMPY.
Season 1 is great, but Season 2 is even better! It was much more refined, especially with great new talent such as Katie Rice (SKADI) and you working on it. I really wish it went beyond that.

HOLY SHMOLEY, how many cartoon shows have you worked on?! Man, how did you get so many storyboard jobs? This is once again spectacular!~ C: I used to watch this show as well, do you have any idea why it was cancelled so quickly? I just remember it only being on for a little while, and then it just stopped airing! What happened??

I think The Mighty B! just never really found an audience. I for one thought it was a great show, but I guess it didn't test well with the suits.
