Description
I uploaded a blurry version before but this one has much better focus. I took these pictures on a Rainy Day (Can't remember if it was Easter or Mothers' Day, one of the two).EDIT: May 9th, I believe that was Easter! Mothers' Day!
I can't believe this has become my most popular deviation! Thanks everyone for appreciating my work!
This is part of an Easter and Mothers' Day Series, here are some others that turned out nicely:
EDIT 2: I have increased the size and enabled prints.

Easter is in April, so it was probably Mother's Day But aside from that, this is amazing

It's an Olympus Evolt 520 10 MP Digital SLR. Iused a 40-150mm Zuiko lens but the close focus was possible with a +4 diopter. (Don't listen to Haughty photographers, diopters CAN produce quality images!)

The secret is to shoot in extremely bright light so you can dial up your aperture and compensate for the DOF you lose with the diopter.
Chromatic abrasion and color variation can be taken care of by shooting in RAW and editing with decent software.

Decent software being Photoshop CS4 or 5, for example?? :]

Actually everything I've done to these photos can be done in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 3 (About $300) or Photoshop Elements 9 (About $80).
So you don't necessarily have to spend $600-$800 on a massive, professional-level editing program to be able to produce great photos.
For any Photographer I seriously recommend Adobe Photoshop Lightroom; it has AMAZING features that are perfectly tailored for photographers and it's great if you shoot in RAW. It's also less than half the price of Photoshop CS5.

Thanks!
It's not as hard as you think. One of the Photography teachers at my school said that there are basically two kinds of photographers: Well-known photographers who make a lot of money and unkown photographers who make none. The skill is not always what sells the work.
When I was learning about photography my favorite place to go was www.dpreview.com (Digital Photography Review) it's an EXCELLENT resource!
