Yes, nice to draw with; but I've moved on the Copic as they are colour fast. My earlier Staedtler drawings have all faded to brown. Looks OK, but not what's I'd prefer.

As if the image wasn't awesome enough, your thoughts behind it really struck me. Wonderful piece.

Always good to receive a comment, so thanks. My Origin drawings all draw in some way on this theme of the relationship between life and spirit at its most basic level.

Nice. I like that the subject matter is so universal but always feels so small and personal in a way, this connection between our biology and our awareness of it. It's complexity and frailty.

An oldie, but one I like. Sadly I used crappy pens and its starting to fade and go brown. But I have a master plan called solar etching (if ever I can find time to do it).

Solar etching? Yowser! I'm guessing thats slightly more complicated than burning holes in the lawn with a magnifying glass...

Etching without chemicals using solar reactive plates and water to rinse off. No doubt it will be tricky and lots of errors, but it means I can use transparencies of all my Origin works to create prints. Just got to find the time to get going. Afraid I burnt more than holes in the lawn in my boyhood!

Just don't burn any holes in yourself!

I get an odd sense of voyeurism from this piece. And that's a good thing!

has a kinda primal feel to it, i like and wouldn't want to see any of your work in colour it would louse so much feeling.

Primal is what I was going for - so thanks a million. Agree these images aren't suited to colour.

the lack of colour lends to the structure and visual dynamics , i like the mirror of the primitive feel with the obvious DNA reference. i would bang on about it more i'm sure you don't wish to hear my incoherent ramblings

I appreciate your comments. I thought about colouring it but decided that to do so would ruin it. Mostly just a black and white boy at heart. I'm glad you got the primitive feel.
