Wallpaper ver. [link]Younger Barney Calhoun from the Half-Life series, specifically Half-Life: Blue Shift!! As the title suggests, of course.
I really don't blame the guy for being afraid of animals. I'd be scared too if Headcrabs, Bullsquids, Houndeyes, and all of the sort were attacking me.
Barney is a really cool guy. Just look at him. Wooow.
Speaking of which, I'll be back home on Friday. That means I'll be able to draw WITH a tablet again!! yay! :-) That also means that I'll actually be able to play Blue Shift since I'll be with my Windows desktop again. Can't wait for that!

I love this, I just love it. There's too much HL2 Barney stuff on Deviantart and not nearly enough of him from HL1. Classic blue, always in style.
ALSO I run a series over on YouTube called the Half-Life Saga. It's a show in which I have played through all the Half-Life games and continue to play various mods for the games. Β It's got a small but active following that continues to grow each day. I love to try to feature and bring attention to various artists and musicians throughout the series, which if you haven't guessed already, is why I am contacting you now. I am wondering if, with your permission of course, I would be able to use your art for use in thumbnails of upcoming videos in the Half-Life Saga. Naturally, I would credit you in the description and provide links to any pages of yours (by default i'd just link your deviantart page). Additionally, i'd be happy to include an annotation on the first video of whichever series your art would appear in giving you credit on screen (if requested).Β
I have already gotten to work with tons of great artists and am hoping that we can work something out.

Excellent, I'm sure your art will work very nicely. And yeah, even though 95% of the people I ask say yes as long as I give permission, I don't see it as permissible (morally or legally) to use other's work without asking their permission. People do that quite often and many artists just go along with it but it's sort of a way of strong-arming someone, and that's bad mmm'kay.

Well, the release date was just for the multiple-player piece beta. They haven't set a release date for the single-player piece. The same development team is working with the team making Operation Black Mesa, which is a Source Game Engine remake of Half-Life: Opposing Force. Also, have you played Black Mesa: Source?
