As much as itβs a parody of Star Trek, I heard that itβs a lot more better than Star Trek: Discovery.

It's a love letter to Star Trek The Next Generation not a parody. It was misadvertised as a comedy parody when Season One aired but it quickly proved audiences wrong. It's a show that fans consider to be more Trek than Discovery but I love both shows respectively.Β

Love it! I'm a huge fan of The Orville, or as I sometimes like to call it "Star Trek: Orville" (My own little personal "F You" to Star Trek: Discovery, lol) I've been thinking of making the Orville in Blender for a while now. Problem is I can't find a good blueprint to copy off of. I could just use what I can find and wing it, but I really don't like to do that.Β

I hear ya man. I had to make sure I could use a stock image of the Orville to use so I didn't unintentionally use anybody's fan works. It wasn't easy.

He produces it. He's the creator and executive producer, but he has had some well-established names direct it like John Favreau and Jonathan Frakes. And it's reported that Patrick Stewart is in talks of guest starring in an episode yet that's left to be confirmed so that's not actually set in stone or anything.Β

I kinda agree with you. I do find that his comedy antics have grown dated and tiring, but it does fit The Orville because it's not forced or politically incorrect. I prefer this style of storytelling because it's fundamentally serious with light-hearted tones. It's his gross-outΒ Family Guy humor that I now over-rated and tired.
