Description
A commissioned work I did. The man holds a rose that loses petals to the wind, the woman catches them in a net. Made almost entirely from guitar/bass strings and nail polish (the headlamps each have a bit of broken reflective glass in them).Related content

true, the headlamps each have a bit of mirrored glass from a broken ornament in them, to catch the light

How do you paint the nail polish on? in thing layers on the wire until it's together?

A very good improvisation. I think it goes well with the shine of the nail polish.

How on earth did you get the nail polish to stay? Great work!

Nail polish and guitar/bass strings? Those have got to be the oddest mediums I've ever heard of people using--and clearly it paid off. Fantastic work.

I don't understand how bass strings could hold together like that... The process here baffles me.
Needless to say, this is amazing.

I simply love the basic concept, but more than that I love all the immaculate detail you have put into it. For example her shoelaces trailing in the wind really brought a smile to my face.
Simply fantastic.

it's not a lot of nail polish, i create frames with thin wire within the bigger wire (when you unwind guitar strings, you have many diff. gauges to deal with) then i draw the nail polish over it and it's surface tension holds it there as it dries.

fantastic, you did really well bending the wire smoothly around the 'exhaust pipes'

the lowest bass string comes pre-wound like that, but this is very cool to say the least! incredible amount of patience and work went into this!
