Ok, so it has been bloody ages since I have actually drawn anything.Free time has been a rarity for me of late but I'm pretty keen to get back into the swing of things with drawing. I figured since it has been a while since I have drawn anything I would go for something simple.
Back when I was a young fella in the 80's and early 90's I used to really enjoy the Garfield comic strip by Jim Davis. There is something about a fat, lazy ginger cat that appealed to me for some reason
So here is a homage to my favourite childhood cartoon cat and all his animal friends.
This was drawn and inked by hand and then coloured in Photoshop.

That's pretty funny, I had a cat many years ago (no longer with us as well) that I named Garfield as well.
He was a very cool dude.

My Garfield was a girl. I gave her the name because we weren't sure what gender she was, and because of her fur color.

Mine was definitely a boy, I named him that coz at the time I thought he ate as much food as Garfield

Ah! now this took me back! I used to be a big fan of Garfield too - although I'm ashamed that I can't remember the names of all the characters. Great likenesses and nice colouring. Glad to see you picking up the pencil again!

Thanks a lot man, I had a small pile of Garfield books when I was a kid and I thought he was the coolest.
If I am correct the names would be Arlene up the back with Nermal in the front, Garfield... obviously standing next to Odie and Pookie his bear at the front. I don't know if the mouse had a name
