Personally I think I like this one better than the new one for some reason... I think it's the sunkin/surprised eyes and the large teeth with no visible mouth.. and the scraggly ears make him almost "cute".

There are things I like better about this one and things I like better about the new one. Now if I could just combine them into the perfect version of him...

the fact he has one arm is rather intriguing, i kinda feel attatched to him.. wonder what happened...
as for the technique, i really like how you can create texture and 3d shape without covering the piece in cross hatch.. the ears and tail especially catch my eye!
