Edit (04.04.2007) This was scrapped for a while, but in spite of everything that's glaringly wrong with it, of all the Xenosaga fan-things I've done, I think it is still my favourite.It is also the very first. (Well, except for some early attempts at drawing Ziggy, which were really too horrible to have seen the light of day. D: That man is insanely hard to draw.)
Ziggurat 8 is my favourite character from Xenosaga. He is a cyborg assigned to protect this girl, MOMO, and he ends up becoming a father-figure to her.
I love when that happens. :3

Xenosaga belongs to Monolith/Namco-Bandai and some other stuff.
I drew this with a pencil (mechanical, perhaps appropriately enough) and markers. :B

Beautiful! Ziggy and MOMO's father-daughter bond always melts my heart, as does this picture. MOMO really is Ziggy's little girl, and their affection clearly shows here.

That's really, really heartwarming <3 I notice your drawing of MOMO's face is a little bit different from any other fanart, and that's good because it's really unique. She's like coming into the real life, non-animeish face <3
I think they're in love, as a father and daughter xD their love for each other can be seen in some scenes. I also can feel the human side of Ziggy in this picture <3

I was kind of ambivalent about MOMO's appearance in this picture, wasn't sure if I got her face right ... I think it was actually one of the first times I'd attempted drawing her at all. o_o But if you think it looks okay, then I'm happy!
Heh, I do think they're in love that way (as father and daughter ^^), but I didn't want to give the wrong idea about them. They have such an adorable and innocent relationship ... I love that. XDDD

Thanks! I think this was the first time I had actually left the sketch marks in the final version of something ... normally I would ink it and then erase the pencil lines underneath, but I was starting to notice that it looked really static when I did that ... so this was a bit of an experiment, I guess.
It seems kind of awkward to me now, because I hadn't had a lot of practise drawing either of these characters (MOMO in particular looks seriously messed up), but I remember I was fairly satisfied with it at the time. And I guess I had an emotional connection with it as well, if that makes any sense.

It's really sweet, this feeling you capture in the poses and the diffrences between their faces. He's somewhat begrudgingly accepting her kindness it seems, but it doesn't bother her at all.
