Oh noez!!This would save SOOO many boneheads in horror films. Who cares that you can't kill the chainsaw man? Just cut off his arms and legs. After all, what's he going to do, bleed on you?

The thing about horror is that it is at times more powerful than logic. More importantly, can you truly say that logic can overrule your will not to become as bad as a murderer. Most people, despite their attempts at machismo-like me right now- in an actual situation like this would probably strike out of fear and in all probability not do a good enough job of perminantly stopping their assailant. And a meat cleaver wouldn't be enough to cleave through bone with out a lot of effort, or at least a couple of swings. not everyone has the will and emotional control to surgically decapitate another living thing, and the point of this is that though you don't, he does, and you'd have to muster it up to be able to stop him, all the while losing what makes you who you are. Your friends, your lifestyle, your family, your safety and your ability to sleep at night.

I disagree with you entirely. Sometimes it's the technicalities that define the artwork. Besides, this is a comic. A comic expressing the idea that most people in horror movies are stupid because they don't just decapitate the villain, and that just got me thinking is all. Art is meant to inspire thought and emotion. That's what I believe.

Everyone can believe what they want to, luckily.
For me, Art is something that someone has put thought and work into. Putting thought into something doesn't necessarily mean that they think about if something is humanely possible.

Also have you tried cutting off someones arm lately, it takes ages not like in the old days when we where all very poorly drawn OH no! now you have skin and muscle and bone and tendons and all that sodding cartilage that gets under your nails... Ive said too much
