Description
The Intrepid Type. A ship that hasn't received much attention, neither in the series, nor on my wallpapers, so here's an Intrepid Type wallpaper! This is at the time the Intrepid goes to warp, so it's a bit stretched. Enjoy!Credits:

I agree that even the obsure stuff of "Star Trek" canon needs attention, and this is excellent 3D work you worked out.
If "Star Trek: Enterprise" hadn't got cancelled, we would've seen more of the ship-classes with less attention on the small screen.

It probably is, if you consider how quick a ship accelerates from 0 to warp speed!

Not just that, but think of the noise from the warp nacelles on a ship such as.. voyager, pretty much just a background hum.
Now imagine if the nacelles were less than a deck's height above you in the saucer section XD

For practicality i think that'd probably end up being storage, or perhaps hydroponics bays directly below them. The resonance would still be bad, but not as bad as if the quarters were directly below
