Description Decided I wanted to make a new version of Miranda, and this is what I came up with, for those of you who don’t know who this character is, she appears in my Birth of a Teenage Muscle Goddess comic alongside Jenny, Naomi and my other characters...

I do like the Original Miranda (But the new version fits in better with what I want) so I may still use the old version, a twin sister perhaps?

This new version of Miranda will be appearing in the Jenny comic issue three and maybe four depending on how the story works outs, I have changed her from a Bodybuilder to a Power-lifter hence the reason she is more squat and thicker than the original version she also now has a husband instead of a boyfriend that was mentioned in Birth of a Teenage Muscle Goddess, also issue three and maybe four of the Jenny comic bring that series in closer to the events in the Original Birth of a Teenage Muscle Goddess and changing things that have happened in that series, I say Original Birth of a Teenage Muscle Goddess because some things that happen in Jenny 3 and 4 will cause some problems with events in Birth of a Teenage Muscle Goddess that I’m going to need to fix, for one thing Jenny will know the Calamari name and have met some of the Calamari Agents by the end of Jenny Issue 4, but in Teenage Muscle Goddess she had yet to meet them...

You know, taking a pause here to ponder this,.. this is one of the problems of 3D art.
The creator can be forever redesigning the character's form
..because the technology permits it so easily and so readily,.. -that the artisans gets too distracted from making narrative story.

Well, I don't think that's true, considering I have never completely redesigned any of my main characters in the three or four years I've been on DA and a year or so before that when I created them, so I don't think I've been forever redesigning anything...

I'm only trying to do it now because back when I created them my skills were not that great, not that I think they are fantastic now, but they are better than when I started, and I'm trying to bring my characters in closer to what I originally envisioned them to look like in my mind when I created them, back then I was all "BIG" Boobs and Muscles, and some of my characters are still that way just less "BIG" Boobs and more emphasis on Muscle...

And I don't believe the technology permits it so easily and so readily to redesign and remodel the models, it takes a bit of time and effort to do this as I'm sure it would for those that draw their characters on paper or on computer and I don't think you need to be generalizing that fact till it's some you actually do on a regular basis...

There was an age... cartoon creators came up with a character, then finalized an image of what that character was to look like,.. then just simply went about concentrating creating story fare for the remainder of there time.

Your imagery only invoked a thought.

That's not really true, look at any cartoon character, take Garfield for example he has changed and evolved over the years and looks very different now to what he looked like when he was first created as I'm sure have many other created characters evolved and changed.

There are some few that don't flow to that past established course.
Yes, even Mickey Mouse from "Steamboat Willie" changed in of how he's drawn or was designed.

To me, within the 3d arena, I feel there is too much emphasis to design looks or design changing.. versus storytelling.
Yet that is what one can do with the technology of this day.
Visual creation is more keen thought upon today than with yesteryears.

Thematically I love how you're exploring different muscle styles on ladies She does look a lot squatter like you said, fitting her power lifter personality. Less of a supermodel and more like what a super charged power lifter would look like. Miranda is still really pretty though .

Thanks, I tried not to change the face so that even though she is slightly different physically she still appear to be the same person...

Like the update - Miranda was always sexy, but she kinda looked like an eighties superhero. This shorter stick of curvy dynamite looks more realistic and has a bit more character in some ways. As much as I love ginormous breasts, those look quite delicious nonetheless (she kinda makes me think a little of my Alexis). Of course the bicep freak in me loves how much beefier your new girls are. I'm hoping that carries over to Jenny . . . .

A slight rework of Jenny is in the works, something that will maybe make her easier to work with, that may mean breast reduction surgery, not a lot but some, I'm kind of tired the way they stick out on the sides and cover up most of her upper arms anyway...

Yyyyoooooooosh!!!!!

I like the new version as well, Stone. I enjoy you challenging yourself to come up with an alternative design, per your feelings. I love the uni and the shoes. She looks like an athlete. Let me know when the competition is over, because I may have a spot on my track and field team. Can Miranda shot-put or hammer toss?

Can she wrestle?

I'm not sure what I'll have Miranda doing, right now she's just a secondary character to support my main characters like Jenny and Naomi, I'll eventually create a fact file for her like I did Jenny and The Calamari as soon as I come up with some interesting things about her.

Nicely done. I like the new version of Miranda. In a way, it is more realistic (at least with the breasts).
