Description
This is another picture of the fakemon/Genmon I'm designing for the Kickstarter A Monster's Tail . I am backing this project at the highest tier, allowing me the opportunity to design a Genmon that will be included in the book.

This picture showcases how valkyrath's armor and wings interface with its nervous system. I like the idea of Pokemon/Genmon who display artificial or technological aspects, raising questions about their origins. This has been present since Gen 1 of Pokemon, e.g. machoke's power-regulating belt.

The idea here is that the armor is functional, with padding on the inside to absorb blows. The wings are controlled by spikes that embed themselves into valkyrath's nervous system and intercept the electrical signals from its brain.

What I like about this design is that it hints at a larger mystery. Valkyrath doesn't come across as merely a mythological creature, it has the hallmarks of engineering about it. How could this have happened? What intelligence could have designed it this way?

I'm not saying it was aliens...but it was aliens!
