A good portion of people have a romantic fantasy. Some, choose just to sit on it. Others wait for, or commission, someone to create something which appeals to it, such as a story or image. And others, like me, will create said things, in order to express their desires.

I've noticed some people shipping their OCs with a canon character. Yes, I do see the appeal in such a thing, but I keep telling myself that it's not real. And what good is a fictional relationship, when compared to a real one? A flesh and blood thing, a relationship where you know the other person isn't just a fictional character.

Yet, I still have my fantasy. And who doesn't love to dream a little?

For the record - Vignette is not shipped with Octavia, nor is he shipped with Spitfire, Berry Punch, Applejack, Luna, Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle, etc etc etc. In terms of 'canon', he's anywhere from friends to 'I think I know that pony' status with them. Because, while I wouldn't mind shipping him with a canon character, I'm saving him for when I find my own significant other.
