Description
Twilight and Rainbow Dash used to tie for my favorite of the Mane 6. I related with her character quite easily: I'd been studying most of my life, I neglect social interactions as much as i could, I didn't get the chance to stay over at a friend's house until like middle school, and that little event ended up in near disaster.

Her having five friends was a notion i connected to the Five-element Chinese philosophy(五行). I'd go into details about it, but wikipedia could probably do it much better than i.
in essence, the 5 elements represent different things for anatomy, material objects, colors, shapes, directions, ect.
In terms of mentalities, the five elements were represented as such:

Metal(金): Intuition
Earth(土): Clarity
Water(水): Spontaneity
Fire(火): Creativity
Wood(木): Sensitivity.

I attributed Rainbow Dash to Metal, with her attitude of "act first, ask questions later".
Sensitivity and Fluttershy seem to fit pretty well. i think.
Pinkie Pie has often been likened to fire, and i'd say creativity seems to fit quite well with her as well.
Applejack often appears one of the more capable and logical of the mane 6, so i thought she represented clarity quite well.
This left me with Rarity and Sponteneity; I can't draw the connection between the two... maybe she looks better when her mane's wet? :c
The 5 characters on the points of the outer star are, in clockwise order starting from the vertical tip, Loyalty, Honesty, Laughter, Kindness, and Generosity. The opposing star inscribed on the inner pentagram shows the corresponding element, and each trait and element are glowing the eye color and coat color of each pony in question.
OKAY. THAT'S THE CIRCLE-STAR THINGY.
I absolutely love the human Twilights i've seen thus far; i have no idea how people manage to make her hair look so flowy and relaxed, yet still retain its corners and general shape. For some reason i always envisioned Twilight in some type of collared shirt; the uniform just kind of stemmed from that, i guess.
