I'm now having an amusing mental image of a Siberian ninja TRYING to move in warm, thick clothing... and failing spectacularly. XD I mean, imagine how much their movements would be impaired in something as thick as this: [link]

the full armor (on the left)is warmer, more protective and despite is a little heavier, they can move quite much with it since it's all leather and silk (like samurais').
