HERE WE GO, my fourth year doing CDC!! AHHH I haven't missed a single challenge since I started this
This months is going to be divided into 5 sets of themes...... first 5 days are CRYPTIDS!
1) Jersey Devil - I've been wanting to make a jersey devil character for a while. IT'S MY HOME LAND MONSTER! We've set out on many nights to explore the pine barrens in search of it, actually! And there's been a few times we could have sworn we've heard it...

2) "Route 9 Nix" - The nix is my own homemade cryptid based off of something else from my state. We have a busy road occupied by accidents allllll day, it's insane. Lots of terrible accidents happen at night, too, when there's barely any traffic around. SO I made a fairly harmless monster that visits the highways at night in search of scraps like a black bird, and perches itself on top of traffic lights, blocking out the current light being displayed by the signal. Blending in with the night, all the driver would see is is a green light to proceed.

3) Rods?? - SO I was looking up what other cryptids are out there, and I found out about the rods, something that looks fairly easy to explain but I'm gonna say I swear to god I saw something like this before during a drive home... driving around a bend when the car lights hit it, it looked like a long, wispy worm/snake slithering out of the ground and into the air almost like silly-string form a can, but it slow motion. IT WAS STRANGE
Anyway, rods look and sound like interdenominational beings??
