Description
I did this peice last year for a project that's now dissolved so I can finally share."Maternal Instinct"
I wanted to show the fierceness of the feminine and depicted a mother werewolf nursing her young. I feel too often we see feminine things as soft and delicate while the reality can be quite the opposite. I found breastfeeding to be the most empowering experience with my own body and wanted to capture an inkling of that sentiment.

I'm pulled to this for two reasons, firstly it is a beautiful piece of art. I especially love the soft colours and tones!
Secondly, i drew something very simular after my son was born nearly two years ago (although i never shared it with social media....i wonder if i can find it?). And i agree, werewolves (or indeed wolves in general) are seen as the embodyment od evil or violence. when there is a very deeply nurturing quality to them. I two found Breast feeding to be a wonderful time between us

I like how you depicted the young one! In reality, a young werewolf would probably look a lot more like this, and not like a wolf pup. After all, werewolves are mostly human right,

Also I thought that the nursing relationship would be best represented with a human infant with slight wolfy features for logistical reasons as well, I wanted to make clear this isn't a fetish piece <3
