At the beginning of creation there were wolves, and the world evolved around them.Print available! 11X14inches $18 shipped in the US (international customers contact me if interested) The print is a little darker than the original but it's still lovely.
This is the mate to the werewolf featured in "Painting the Sky with Stars."
He's a deep indigo that's near to black. His eyes are a lovely shade of yellow.
I'm really happy with the final, the wolf's intent stare came out exactly as I'd hoped. I love the water too. I introduced the warm leaves in the hope to really push the blues in the water and wolf.

The stroke. The form. The contrast. It all looks great. Although I see problems with the tail. It lacks some contrast making it only appear small instead of going into the background. But that's just me.

Thanks for the kind comments and critique! I had someone else comment on my last piece that my tail was small too. I thought I had eliminated that problem but perhaps not. I do think it's a bit mishapen now that I look at it. I tried to give less contrast the further back the body goes, but i do think maybe I went too far too fast =3

Thank you! When I originally had the idea for this, I only knew that I wanted blue, with warm colors to contrast. I'm glad it worked!
