So I've recently joined an SPC community that seems to have a fondness for drawing the Samurai Pizza Cats in human styles. Naturally, I couldn't resist.And as I have a hidden fondness for Polly and Batcat (I see them as best friends, as Polly is obviously in love with Speedy, and Batcat is gay ^^), I decided to draw them flying together. The first sketch turned out so well, that I did about a dozen others. This is the first finished one.
A couple of details about the pose. Some of you might note it's similar to a pose made by Marrow and Bobby Drake (of X-Men fame) in Issue...60? 61? Something like that. I did borrow Polly's pose somewhat from Marrow as it looked interesting enough, but I changed Bat Cat's to make it different. Bobby Drake was semi-standing, bringing his knee up to a running position (though he was sliding on an ice slide), and here you can see I've turned Bat Cat into Superman.
Also, I had to remove Bat Cat's tail rotary assembly and the propeller from over his head, though I left the pole they're normally attached to as a grip for Polly.What do you think?

Guido, believe it or not, I have no idea why but I just KNOW he cant be straight.

Also, would you think that if Speedy was a guitar player he would leave the SPC to pursue a career as a guitar virtuoso?

Dunno. General Catton screams 'hetero' - all macho and full army. Meowzma's married (revealed in that ep where they got sent to Prisoner Island) and Spritz.... is in too few episodes to ever truly get a clue on. ^^ But Batcat is subservient to all the girls on the show ("Point that popgun and I'm on my way wherever you need me!" "Whatever you say, ma'am!" And a few others. Either way, I like Batcat being gay. He and Polly can be best friends and they can both drool over Speedy (though only Polly may touch).
I'm weird, what can I say except 'oh well'? ^___^
Nah. Speedy'd never leave the team. He loves being a superhero. They tried to leave once to become musicians, remember? never took. ^^

Well, I have an Alt Universe where the SPC had quite enough of the management and quite all together to pursue a career as a band with the same name.
Speedy later quit the band to join as the guitarist for Klonoa's solo career, the he formed a new project by the name "The When and The What" together with Guido who at the time what the bassist for Might and Majesty. Around the same time the SPC gathered around them a cult following due to their supreme playing abilities, Speedy was asked to return to guitar/vocal duties together with Guido, Francie and Polly.
At the same time I believe the B Team became a horn quartet.

pizza_cats is the user name of the LJ comm. ^^ It's for anything Pizza Cats related but in scanning some of the back posts, I was seeing a lot of humanoid-pizza cats (and lots of human-like Vi's) so I decided to join in on the fun. ^^ It doesn't have a heck of a posting life though.
