She is very calculating and seems to always have a plan coupled with her mastery of gunsmenship make her a lethal threat. When it comes to affection she is one to tease or quietly observe. The only too that she is more gentler with are her brother Rogan and their torturer Circi. She can be an absolute dote with Circi and prefers riling up Rogan by encouraging her antics. Towards most people she wears a very cool mask, she rarely shows her true emotions or her intentions. She doesn’t like to challenged and quick to put people in their place.

Kalia was born as a hawaiian native in Lahaina, to an inexperienced couple. They were not planning to have kids at all but somehow contraceptives failed. As it was they decided to put her up for adoption once she was born. She was born premature and as a result had a sickly start to life. Luckily a family did step in to take her in temporarily and were able to help her through the first year of life. Sadly the family chose not to keep her, so she went back up for adoption being handed off to a couple foster homes. Most of which she never knew, each family was very different but the one thing they all had in common was the lack of attention to the small toddler. As she reached her fourth year she was exhibiting worrying signs and an ill temper, this is when a couple vacationing happened to hear of the little girl. Stopping in to the adoption agency to meet her.
She met her adoptive family on a warm summer day, they already had a couple of kids in their care. There was almost an instant connect with the family. They were given permission to spend time with her, taking her out to explore and enjoy the vacation with them. At the end of their varaction they went through with adoption of Kalia bringer her back to their home in the states. Life became fun, she was put into school the following year and made plenty of friends. The other kids in the home were older but still friendly, they rarely paid much attention to Kalia which was fine by her.
Shortly into her new life her parents brought home a blonde haired boy named Rogan, he was older than Kalia by a few years and right away they immediately dislike each other. Kalia called him a snob on his first day in the house after which Rogan had accidentally “Spilled a drink” on her head. It was in its own rights a war, despite scoldings from their parents neither child was willing to back down. They reached a stalemate eventually and decided to ignore each other’s existence. Even at school and home they never spoke, their mother became annoyed with this as it followed them two and a half years in. She forced them to spend time with each other locking them out of the house for the day in hopes of breaking this trend.
It did not go well. For a while neither said anything, simply glaring at the other. When they tried to talk Kalia looking for a compromise, Rogan had snapped at her and said hurtful things. They were harsh enough that it made Kalia furious, she hopped off the swings and stomped off into the woods hurling insults as she went while tears pooled in her eyes. Staring out into the wooded backyard Rogan had all but stomped his feet in a tantrum and followed the stubborn girl into the woods.
Kalia found an abandoned bear den, well it looked like one to her. She was snooping around when she found the carcass of a half eaten deer. Eyes going wide she started backpedaling, that was a fresh meal. The woods looked more ominous as she started backtracking home, no sound of birds or any woodland animal could be heard. It was dead silent. Kalia became wary and upon the sound of a branch snapping to her left, had the girl off and running. She ran blindly scratching herself against low hanging branches and pricker bushes. Between breaths she could hear another set of panting breaths that were not hers. Tears welling in her eyes she dove into a bush on the side of a ravine. When she looked up after skidding through the tangle her eyes only registered one thing. Teeth. A huge snouth with large protruding fangs barrelling down on her. She screamed. Raising her arms in defense. A searing pain radiated from her arm as he bit down dragging her out of the bush. She barely registered the blood and the rip and tear of bone and tissue before she came to a halt. Sitting up in a puddle of blood and grass looking up at a large wolf crunching away on her arm. Backing away into the bushes once more her eyes growing hazy as she started to black out. The giant beast started lumbering back toward her growling. In her last moments of consciousness she saw a blur of blonde hair and something sharp.
When she woke up she was in the hospital, parents by her bedside and Rogan there as well. Rogan had told them what happened but the police chalked it up to being a bear attack. That was all but one officer believed him. Still she remembered very little, Rogan filled in the gaps for her, he’d heard her screams and came running. He’d stabbed it in the eye and sent it packing before dragging her home all while screaming for their parents. Kalia felt different. She felt broken but her relationship with Rogan was better. He became extremely protective of her, chasing away bullies when she went back to school wearing a temporary prosthetic. She bounced back in time and went on to pull off a few achievements. Specifically continuing her music studies, she was in Orchestra before the attack and had continued learning despite her new disability. She learned the cello and violin, and once in high school became the maestro or conductor. Still the day of her attack still haunted her. Their parents put them through gun lessons and hunting practice so that they’d be able to defend themselves. However Rogan ran into the officer from the “bear attack” case shortly before graduation. He recruited them to join an organization that trained Werewolf hunters. Rogan agreed and Kalia felt compelled to follow her brother in this endeavour. They went through the training and were given separate assignments, that resulted in placing scores. They became rather good and found themselves competing. Her first kill had been with an Steyr Aug, and she’d been efficient in executing half a pack on her own. Rogan well her brother was a brutal guy and was a natural at the job. As they grew Rogan was promoted and given “Territory” to exterminate the wolves from. Needless to say he brought Kalia with him who was more than happy to assist in starting a new HQ.
