For a small ship it sure had alot of details.

Those little bits on the sides of the ship (near the deflector housing on each side)...I always imagine phaser turrets popping out of those. That would be cool to see.

it's not quite right... it looks like you've based it on the cgi version rather than original model and as such the deflector is too narrow and, imo, doesn't look right...

I took some liberties since I used both the 3d/cgi model and the blue prints as reference. Also I had a defiant model on my desk to look at. It is my interpitation of the 3 mix into this 1 schematic.

Fair enough, ultimately it's your take on the design. Though I stand by my opinion that the deflector could and should be a bit wider.
