Well due to thier popularity they get trapped and sold for large sums of money so there aren't to many left in the wild

Well you can try running but you can't get away from the tickle monster. So giving in and hugging it seems like your only option

Indeed! Plus it makes them much more huggable! Though if you try and hug them it just means they're free to tickle you senseless. Definitely worth it, though!

Yeah it is hard to defend yourself while hugging but then again there was no defence against the tickle monster to begin with so might as well go for it... and they make that cute giggly noise when you squeeze them so it all works out in the end

Maybe. I kind of like the concept of a monster that could use its fuzziness for tickling, then use it to be all cuddly and affectionate afterwards.
