I spent years applying other art styles to my own, and that's pretty much what I'm doing now when I observe real people. If my bodies looks simplified, it's because I'm applying realism to my own style.

You only pretty much line the vitals, I tend to do a lot of lines, while sometimes it really looks better with less. But it depends on the style you develop I guess
