BASED ON A TRUE STORY.

I dressed as Freddy Krueger this Halloween. I've retired from trick-or-treating, so instead I took my younger sister and her friend out. At one point, while I was waiting by a tree while the two of them were getting candy, a mother and her children were passing by and she commented "look kids, it's Freddy Krueger". They were scared at first, so she reassuring them I wasn't going to hurt them. I played along by waving hello to them, giving them high-fives with my gloved-hand and a thumbs up, and waving goodbye as they went back to trick-or-treating. It wasn't always like this, of course there were the parents who tried to avoid looking directly at me, as well as kids who wouldn't listen to reason and were still very scared of my costume. But overall, it was a good night. Also, at one point my sister and I were in my mom's car and I saw a guy in a crosswalk, so when we were stopped at a red light and he saw me in my costume I blew him a kiss. I didn't know him and for all he knew I was a dude, so I bursted out laughing when I saw the shocked expression on his face.

I realize now that I drew the glove on the wrong hand. Whoops.
