Rachel resituated on the couch, and sat up to face Liz. She had tested the extent of her new limitations, and found that she couldn't stand up, walk, use her arms or hands at all -- in short, she couldn't do almost anything.

"So ... 😅 now what?"

"Now you're stuck! 😝"

"... 😯 Yeah. It's going to be weird not being able to do anything while I'm in these."

"Don't worry, you'll get used to it 😄 ... and actually, Kaylee and I were already planning to go get a drink and some lunch before you texted us; there's a place close by that does early afternoon happy hour, and you could come with us!"

Rachel took a second to process the idea of being out in public, completely helpless in her cast restraints, and was surprised to feel some excitement about showing off her new accessories.

"That sounds great! 😃 I'll want to put on a pair of jean shorts, I packed some in my-"

Rachel habitually tried to gesture toward the suitcase she'd brought, but no part of her upper body moved, and she realized that even if she could get the suitcase open with her toes, it would be virtually impossible for her to dress herself.

"... 😯 my suitcase. I think I'm going to need help to get dressed though 🙃"

Liz had already started walking toward Rachel's suitcase, and turned back to smirk at her.

"Yeah, I'm aware 😛"

Liz unzipped the suitcase, found the shorts Rachel had mentioned, and instructed her on how to reposition to make it as easy as possible to dress her. Rachel pressed her toes against the floor and arched her back as much as she could, lifting her rear end off of the couch, and Liz pulled the shorts up to her waist, then buttoned and zipped them. Rachel took a deep breath as she contemplated the events of the last few minutes: between the smack to her ass and Liz's hands being so close to her privates while dressing her, she realized that she effectively had no personal space anymore, at least not with her new caregivers -- she was now dependent on them for ... everything. 😳

Liz and Kaylee changed their own clothes, then helped Rachel into a wheelchair and into the passenger seat of Liz's car. Liz buckled Rachel's seatbelt, then fully extended the belt and let it retract; this activated the ratcheting mechanism, and Liz pulled the seatbelt tight around Rachel's cast.

"There! Just wanted to make sure you're extra secure 😁"

Rachel tried to shift around and found that she was very effectively pinned to the seat -- without arms, she could not undo the seatbelt herself. She took a deep breath and stared straight ahead as Liz closed the passenger door and got into the driver's seat.

The sports bar wasn't busy at this time of day, and to Rachel's surprise, no one really acknowledged that two thirds of her body was encased in orange fiberglass, or that the cast on her upper body functioned as a straitjacket that rendered her completely helpless. After getting settled at the table, the three women ordered a round of drinks and appetizers, with Rachel opting for a mixed drink. Liz and Kaylee took turns helping her with it, and Liz got up to use the restroom while Kaylee was holding the glass up to Rachel's mouth. On her way back, she overheard part of a conversation between Rachel and Kaylee:

"... so what if there was an emergency, like, life-or-death, and I really had to get myself out of this?"

Liz replied while walking behind Rachel, "Let's hope it doesn't come to that, because you'll never-" -- Liz slapped the cast over Rachel's shoulder, a little harder than she would have if she were hitting Rachel's body -- "-get out of this yourself! 😁"
