Christian-122, seeking salvation from the boredom of waiting for flash-cloned limbs to be grown following the loss of his right arm in a Pelican crash, partakes in a ONI Beta 5 Special Operator Capture The Flag training exercise with some of the newer recruits.

"Christian hurried down the hall of the training base, cursing his replacement arm. The damn thing kept seizing up unexpectedly; if it didn't, he wouldn't have let the trainee snag the flag he'd been guarding.
But it looked like it wouldn't matter; the trainee with the flag was obviously fresh out of boot camp. Most likely ONI's "jump school", judging by the Jump Jet restraint system he had on his shoulders and the HP/Halo chest piece he wore. He was taking his time, not even bothering to look over his shoulder and check his six. A bad move in combat. As Christian swore to make him find out the hard way."
