I spoke my mind, I said my words,
but before I could speak, he said unto me.
“I’m sorry for how I acted, I’m sorry that I yelled.
I’m sorry for my hate and sorry for what I said.

I was stressed, I was shattered,
my head hurt, my mind torn a sunder!
My mouth was open wide,
but my mind was closed.”

He begged, he pleaded, hoping I was not mad.
My head was cool, I was no bull.
My mind is always open,
and I said unto him.

“Don’t worry,
I understand, and I’m glad.
You took it out on me,
and not your younger brother.

I was never mad, and never will,
I was scared that I would lose my friend.”
We sat down at the table,
at the party we were at.

We spoke kind words.
We read over books.
We started the game,
knowing everything was well.

We played the game,
I walked home, I was happy,
knowing that it was all good,
with my still broken friend.
