Being one of your first in Photoshop, it's wonderful, compared to my lame pieces!

I can critique your coloring style for you. This dude looks to be in quite a pickle!
Tip 1: I'm assuming you're using photoshop? When beginning your coloring process, start by using the wand tool to mask off all of the white area outside the drawing. Select the white areas in those obscure parts too like the spaces between the man and the draconian lookin' dude. Use quick mask (that's the little icon that looks like a square with circle in it below the foreground and background color picker on the main tool bar) to make sure you've got a nice clean mask. Use the paint brush tool to clean it up (this is awesome because it allows you to paint your selection too!)
Tip 2: Make use of the multiply function on your airbrush and brush tools, with the opacity dialed down a bit. This gives you a slightly darker shade of the color you're using when painted over another color to work up the shading more. The opposite is true for the Screen function for highlights.
Tip 3: Experiment with different kinds of brushes besides your standard round set. Photoshop comes with different shapes and sizes, but you can also define your own from virtually any texture imaginable. That would be especially useful for roughly textured things like rocks and scales.
Really nice job so far. Keep it up!

Thank you, I a grateful you have taken the time to give me some tips. Since this piece was one of the first I was working on it was a learning piece.
Go to my scraps and look at the one called trial of Palidos, it is a work in progress but I would love to get your feed back.
