Sam was born into an upper class family and her early childhood was mostly problem
free, she had a good home life, was good at school and had a close circle of friends.
When she turned fifteen she began to exhibit symptoms of kleptomania.

She would often steal random objects from her school, most of the objects were not
of any use or need to her and would often be stashed away never to be used. She
said she'd often feel tons of guilt and shame after stealing but couldn't resist it.

Her parents would eventually discover the stolen objects and inform the school, she
then received an official diagnosis for kleptomania and began treatment which
progressed slowly. She'd continue to steal but at a lower rate.

When she turned twenty two, she was caught stealing from a store for the first time
and charges were brought against her. She was found not guilty by reason of
insanity and was required to undergo treatment at Hedgerow Facility.
